Great Dixter is located at Northiam, near Rye, East Sussex. From 1910 it was owned by Nathaniel Lloyd and was restored by Edwin Lutyens. Nathaniel designed the framework of the garden and it was planted with great flair by his son, Christopher Lloyd, author of many books on plants and planting. Christopher Lloyd was born at Great Dixter and left the estate to The Great Dixter Trust on his death in 2006. The garden reflects the interests of its creators. The Tudor house is well worth a visit as well. Click here to visit the Official site.
